  3. Must watch - Our suggested viewing for the month ahead…

Forest Hill Open House

Last Friday, we opened the doors to our Forest Hill Passivhaus project to 30 guests as part of the International Passive House Open Days event.

The event, run collaboratively between the International Passive House Association and the Australian Passivhaus Association, gives people the opportunity to talk and learn about Passive House and experience Passive House buildings for themselves.

Inline Constructions helped to lead the tour and we were also joined by a representative from Logikhaus, who supplied the windows for this awesome project.

Award news

Canal Haus

We are very excited to announce that our Canal Haus project won several awards at the recent Design Matters National Awards - including the Design Excellence Award - National Building Design of the Year!

This stunning project also won the following accolades:

  • Qld Building Design of the Year

  • Winner, New House $2m-$3m

  • Commendation for Environmentally Sustainable Design

Winner, Excellence in Use of Concrete.

This truly is a unique home that proves sustainability has no defined aesthetic. You can read more about the project here.

Kyneton

We are also very pleased to announce that our Kyneton home picked up 'Winner New House $750k-$1m'.

This highly efficient and sustainable home settles into the landscape, allows for generous garden spaces, and connects our clients to the beautiful nearby lake to the west. Read more about this project here.

Best Small Sustainable Practice

And the accolades don’t stop at the Design Matters Awards either! We are also very pleased to announce that Maxa Design won Best Small Sustainable Practice at the recent Sustainability Awards!

This award is a real credit to our talented and passionate team, of whom we are extremely proud.

Must watch

Ever wondered if we really need all the ‘stuff’ we accumulate in our daily lives? A recent documentary film follows two friends, Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, who explore the benefits of living according to minimalism. You can catch it on Netflix now (before you rush off to tidy that messy drawer…)
